Join us on Monday, March 17th, in the Mishkan for an important workshop from CJPAC. With a federal election this year, CJPAC wants to empower our community to get involved in the political process and make our voices heard. “The Jewish community is small in numbers, but our strategic action can have an outsized impact.” This non-partisan event will be a wonderful intersection of Jewish values and civic pride.
On Thursday, March 20th, the Alliance of Canadians Combatting Antisemitism (ALCCA) will present to the TDSB Ward Forum. This program is open to the public, and you can register here. Leadership of the ALCCA and Trustees from the TDSB will discuss antisemitism, its current context and historical roots, and the effect it is having on students and parents in the TDSB.
B’nai Brith and Warren Kinsella will present a programme on combatting hatred in Canada on Wednesday, March 26th. Among other faith leaders, Rabbi Samuel Kaye and Indigenous Elder Catherine Brooks will participate on the panel. You can register for the event here. Join us to discuss “how we can successfully protect and promote our Canadian and cultural values for the next generation.”
Holy Blossom Temple has a long history of serving as a hub for our elected officials to interact with the community. We are pleased to continue this tradition by inviting our MP, Don Stewart, for a neighbourhood check-up. He will be available on Sunday, March 30th, from 10:30 till noon, outside of Holy Grounds café. Please join us.
