Advocacy @ HBT: CIJA Urges Action in Ontario Schools   

• Urge the Province to act regarding antisemitism in Ontario schools 

You have likely seen coverage on antisemitism in Ontario schools, which was recently documented in a federally-commissioned survey by Prof. Robert Brym.  

The findings are horrific and unacceptable. More than 40% of the incidents involved Nazism and the glorification of Hitler, 1 in 6 antisemitic incidents were either initiated by an educator or were part of a school-sponsored activity, and almost half of the reported incidents were simply not investigated.

• enforcing School Board accountability. 

• establishing a standardized hate incident reporting system. 

• implementing the approved, but significantly delayed, Holocaust education curriculum.
