Prayers for Beth Israel

We are shaken by the news of the arson attack on our sister-synagogue, Beth Israel Congregation of Jackson, Mississippi.  A cornerstone of Southern Jewish life, it was bombed in 1967 by the Ku Klux Klan when its Toronto-native rabbi, Perry Nussbaum,  courageously supported the civil rights movement. Now hatred has once again led to violence.
