Opening Reception for Elizabeth Greisman: Magnification to Minutiae

We are delighted to announce the new exhibition in the Lower Level Gallery by Toronto artist Elizabeth Greisman.

Elizabeth is a long-time Holy Blossom member and the curator of our gallery.

You are all welcome to join us at Dorot’s Exhibition Sneak Peek with Artist Elizabeth Greisman and the Opening Reception for the show on Wednesday, January 15 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the Lower Level Gallery.

The new exhibition, which has been put together through the lens of the Curator, is an expose of a number of Ms. Greisman’s larger-size paintings. The show is a synthesis of colour and design. There are references to earlier bodies of work, compiled since Ms. Greisman began her career as a visual artist. In addition, the show includes an educational wall of smaller pieces, placed together to demonstrate the process of working from a small oil sketch to the finished large format piece.

Subject matter and influences on the paintings include the ballet, the opera, global landscape and historical and Shakespearian figures.

Ms. Greisman has shown her work both nationally and internationally. The exhibition includes collaborations with dance and science as well as an insight into the portrait.
