We are honoured to have Opera Atelier partner with the Centre for Arts and Culture in Holy Blossom Temple’s celebration of Shabbat Shira, or the “Sabbath of Singing.”

Singers and dancers from OA’s Spring 2025 production of Charpentier’s David and Jonathan will be joined by Cantor Rosen and Opera Atelier Co-Artistic Director Marshall Pynkoski in a special presentation that explores the historical significance of Charpentier’s opera and its libretto, which is taken directly from the Book of Samuel in the Tanakh.
Delicious refreshments will round out an afternoon that will ravish all of the senses. Featuring mezzo-soprano Georgia Burashko, tenor Colin Ainsworth, baritone Christopher Dunham, Artists of Atelier Ballet Eric Da Silva and Julia Sedwick, harpsichordist Christopher Bagan and cellist Felix Deak with special guest Cantor David Rosen.
