A Woman of Valour — Who Can Find?
A Woman of Valour — Who Can Find?
For nearly two years, our Temple’s Women of Valour (WOV) initiative has brought our community together each Rosh Chodesh to honour remarkable women from our past and present. We celebrate those who have made meaningful contributions, demonstrated leadership, and exemplified the spirit of volunteerism, kindness, and dedication.
These extraordinary women are often right here among us—mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and friends. Many give or gave generously of their time, talents, and hearts without seeking recognition. The WOV initiative shines a light on their inspiring journeys, celebrating their accomplishments and inspiring others through their examples of strength, resilience, and compassion.
How We Honour Our Women of Valour:
- Monthly Feature: Approximately two weeks before Rosh Chodesh, an article written by a close friend or family member—accompanied by a photograph—is shared with the congregation to highlight the honoree’s life, achievements, and community impact.
- Service & Celebration: The recognition culminates in a special Aliyah during the Rosh Chodesh service, followed by a celebratory Kiddush with our community.
