Reflection: Dorot’s Aga Khan Excursion
By Sharon Kamiel, Dorot Committee
On Wednesday, March 19, a group of nearly 50 Dorot/Holy Blossom members went to the stunning Aga Khan Museum to peruse the impressive 2024/2025 exhibitions installed especially for their 10th anniversary.
Our large group was split into 3 tours, and each guide expertly escorted us seamlessly throughout the Museum. With their abundance of pride, knowledge, professionalism and courtesy, they explained the history of the Museum’s architecture; the importance of light throughout its remarkable design; and, of course, disseminated their expertise of the magnificent 10th-year exhibitions, flown in and installed by world-renowned artists!
The outing was a complete success – from the organization, to the special discounted prices, to the delicious cuisine, to the masterful installations commissioned by these acclaimed artists! The warm spring-like day could not have been more perfect, as the sunshine reflected beautifully both on the outside and, of course, inside the exquisitely designed Museum! Not only did our members enjoy the excursion immensely, but all staff throughout the Museum could not thank us enough for being such delightful guests, and as such, are eager to welcome us back!
Stay tuned for further outings we will be planning in the near future!
