Rabbi Taylor Baruchel

Rabbi Taylor Baruchel is the Director of Outreach and Next Gen Engagement at Holy Blossom Temple in Toronto, where she helps people of all ages find meaningful pathways into Jewish life. Her work spans young families, emerging adults, interfaith couples, newcomers, those seeking to affirm their Jewish identity, and those exploring Judaism, with a particular passion for creating communities where people feel seen, welcomed, and inspired to belong.

Originally from Montreal, Rabbi Baruchel brings an eclectic background to the rabbinate. Before ordination, she studied theatre and earned graduate degrees in Religion from Concordia University. She has worked with Jewish communities in Canada, the United States, and Israel, including supporting young adults leaving the Ultra-Orthodox world in Jerusalem, serving as Senior Jewish Educator for Hillels of Georgia, and acting as the rabbinic consultant for the Netflix film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

Rabbi Baruchel believes that Jewish life is less about having all the answers than having the courage to keep asking meaningful questions. Whether teaching Torah, gathering around a Shabbat table, or meeting over coffee, she hopes to create spaces where curiosity leads to connection, and where everyone can discover a sense of belonging in Jewish life.
