Advocacy at Holy Blossom: What you can do
This Week: Supporting CIJA and the Alliance of Canadians Combatting Antisemitism
Despite calls from CUPE national leadership, Fred Hahn has refused to resign from his position as the President of CUPE Ontario. Hahn has had a troubling history with Jewish union members since 2010, and the situation has become much worse since October 7th. Jewish members of CUPE today are experiencing extremism and discrimination where once there was support and solidarity. To add your voice to the chorus of concerned Canadians, led by CIJA, demanding that Fred Hahn step down, or be fired by CUPE, you can click here.
Holy Blossom Temple is proud to announce that we are one of several distinguished organizations to join the newly formed Alliance of Canadians Combatting Antisemitism (ALCCA). This coalition of community groups, faith partners, and individuals is seeking to create a united front in the fight against antisemitism here in Canada. To learn more about what ALCCA is doing, and to subscribe to their mailing list, you can visit their website: Alliance of Canadians Combatting Antisemitism | ALCCA We look forward to joining our efforts to theirs!
