Ve’ahavta and Holy Blossom: Clothing Donations in August-September 

“Open your hand to your brother, to the poor and the needy, who are in your land.”  

תִּפְתַּח אֶת־יָדְךָ לְאָחִיךָ לַעֲנִיֶּךָ וּלְאֶבְיֹנְךָ בְּאַרְצֶךָ 

Deuteronomy 15:11 

Holy Blossom Temple is proud to continue the friendship and partnership we have established over many years with Ve’ahavta. Those of you who have served on the van know that not only does Ve’ahavta provide a warm meal, hot coffee, and vital services to help maintain a person’s dignity -like shaving kits, women’s healthcare products, and self-harm prevention – they regularly give out clothing to all who ask.  

Starting this Shabbat, as you walk into Holy Blossom, you’ll see that we are collecting clothing for the needy and unhoused of our city. We will be collecting through the end of September in preparation for Winter. 

Specifically, Ve’ahatva is looking for these necessary and desired items, 

• Men’s hoodies and sweaters 

• Men’s sweatpants, jeans, jogging pants and shorts 

• Women’s large-size jeans, sweatpants jogging pants and shorts 

• Shampoo, razors, sunscreen and deodorant  

• NEW socks and underwear  

Please feel free to bring these donations and deposit them in the bin. You’ll see it clearly marked as you enter the building.
