At the suggestion of Carol Payne I listened to you sermon on Noach. Yasher Koach. I was particularly moved to hear you pick up on the words in the haftorah of God’s everlasting loyalty “For the mountains may move, And the hills be shaken, But my loyalty shall never move from you..” So important it is repeated with the haftorah of KiTetzei ( the 5th shabbat of consolation) Reminds me of Gershwin “Rockies may crumble, Gibralter may tumble ,But our love is here to stay”
I wondered if the words of Isaiah resonated with the Gershwins when they wrote “Our love is here to stay” maybe from their Bar Mitzvahs. Apparently George did not have a Bar Mitzvah . Ira did and his birthday is Dec. 6th so unlikely.
Thank you and Shalom al Yisrael
