Shinshinim at HBT
UJA’s Israel Engagement ShinShinim are young Israeli leaders who have just finished high school and come to the GTA for one year to volunteer in our community, at synagogues, day schools, youth movements and Jewish summer camps. Holy Blossom was the first synagogue to host Shinshinim and the Shinshin program here in Toronto, almost 15 years ago!
There are 18 ShinShinim hosted by families in our community and are here to
informally teach about Israel through creative programs and challenging discussions, bringing an authentic Israel experience to the Toronto Community.
At Holy Blossom, you can find our Shinshinim actively involved in the YEC and all Youth Activities including HABSTY. Shins also participate in family programs, holiday celebrations, and initiatives of the Israel Advocacy Committee.
