Our Grade 3 students had an active day! They continued their trip through Israel.
This week, the stop was at Masada, a mountain in the Judean desert where some Jews fled during the time of the destruction of the second Temple in Jerusalem. It is a sad story, and an important one to tell. This group of Jews decided that they would rather kill themselves than submit to life under the Romans. The students “heard” from various people during the time of Masada.
Masada is a wonderful spot to visit in Israel. There is so much history, and if you have a chance to get to Israel, it is a must-go stop.
The students also had time to work on the Hebrew games that they are making for each other. It is a great project!
