Jeff is third generation at Holy Blossom. He is concluding his term as a Vice-President of the congregation, overseeing the Worship Department. He’s a Shacharit (morning) service leader, and chants Torah regularly on Shabbat. He served two terms on the Temple Board, and was a teacher in our Religious School for 15 years.
Outside of Holy Blossom, Jeff is on the board of ARZA Canada, our Reform Zionist organization. He and his wife Phyllis have two grown children. Jeff works in IT at CIBC, and runs for relaxation.
Rachel is a proud member of Holy Blossom, having been involved at Temple all her life. From pre-school through Bat Mitzvah, to Confirmation, to blowing shofar and chanting at High Holydays and reading megillah at Purim, Rachel and her husband Jordan now bring their young family to Tot Shabbat services and the many other fantastic family programs offered at Temple.
Professionally, Rachel holds the position of Vice-President & General Manager at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Rachel has been singing in Jewish acappella choirs for more than 15 years and plays cornet (trumpet) in the Weston Silver Band.
Joanne has been a lifelong member of Holy Blossom Temple including being confirmed in 1979. She participated in the two-year Adult Bat Mitzvah program culminating with chanting Torah for the first time in 2008. She joined Temple Singers the same year and acted as President of The Temple Singers for many years. Joanne is also an active member of the Lachan Chamber Choir conducted by Cantor Maissner. For the last 5 years, Joanne has been serving as Co-Chair and Chair of the Musical Heritage Committee, which is responsible for bringing to Holy Blossom and the Jewish community at large, an impressive concert series as well as providing musical programs for Temple events such as Shabbat Shira and Erev 7th Day Pesach.
In her professional life she has been a retailer in Toronto for the past 30 years, owning and operating Higher Ground Girls. She is the mother of two sons, Zach and Daniel, and is married to Kevin Roher.
