Seder Resources
Chaag Pesach Sameach!
Below you will find numerous resources from some of the brightest and most thoughtful institutions and thinkers in our Jewish World. Each is attempting to provide guidance, solace, and comfort during a Passover unlike any other. We know that the resources below will provoke powerful conversation around your Seder table.
Holy Blossom Temple Clergy
“Why is this Year Different From All Other Years?”
This year, the Holy Blossom Advocacy Committee encourages you to invite a guest to your seder: one of your friends, neighbours, or co-workers who is not Jewish! Whether it is their first seder, or they are regular attendees, opening our homes this Passover is more important than ever.
When asked, non-Jews who stand up to antisemitic ideologies overwhelmingly shared that it was their relationships with Jewish friends which motivated their convictions.
Add an extra chair to your seder table and utilize our new “How is this year different from all other years?” resource card to open the door to a meaningful conversation.
Together we plant seeds for the future and stand up for the Canada we believe in.

Shalom Hartman Institute
The Shalom Hartman Institute has provided a Haggadah Supplement which takes the same thoughtful, text-based, lens of their other learning opportunities and applies it to the Seder. Inside you’ll find essays, liturgy and conversation starters from Israelis, poets and rabbis, the families of the hostages and leading thinkers.
Zion Haggadah
Rabbi Splansky has provided us with her friend and teacher Mishael and Noam Zion’s “The Solidarity Seder Supplement 2024”, a special excerpt from the Israeli Haggadah. Beautifully illustrated, please peruse it both before and during your Seder for solidarity opportunities, words of hope, and prayers of comfort.
The iCenter Passover Companion
The iCenter, a thinktank for Israel Education, has provided a Passover Companion that explicitly highlights the Israeli view for this Passover. Ranging from secular to religious, the iCenter Companion is put together by master educators and brings a unique voice to this moment in our history.
