Celebrate Purim with Holy Blossom!
Celebrations of Purim at Holy Blossom are made possible by a very generous gift of sponsorship from Larry and Jennifer Baldachin and family
Mystery Mordechai Mishloach Manot
If your family would like to participate in the mitzvah of giving gifts among family and friends, join our Mystery Mordechai Michloach Manot! Families will ‘put their name in the hat’, then receive the name of a Holy Blossom family to prepare and deliver a basket to, and your family will also receive a basket!
Register here. This is a great opportunity to be creative – everyone in the house can add something! In addition to the food items, pictures, jokes or other craft items are a great addition.
Families must register to participate by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11th. You will receive the name of your ‘Mystery Mordechai’ recipient by February 16th.

Mishloah Manot from DANI
Please visit the DANI website to purchase you gifts for friends and family. This is a project run entirely through DANI, which Holy Blossom Temple is proud to support.
There is a lovely Purim tradition of giving gifts to friends, called Mishloach Manot. As a synagogue community, we are supporting DANI’s Mishloach Manot project, which allows us to send gifts to members of our community while supporting our community. DANI creates opportunities for adults with physical and/or cognitive challenges so that they can participate fully as valued members of our larger Jewish community, and enjoy a meaningful and dignified quality of life.
Please visit the DANI website to purchase your gifts for friends and family.
Matanot La’Evyonim from the Dufferin Grove Organic Farmers’ Market
Every dollar given through the Purim drive will go directly to individuals and families who experience food insecurity in our community. They will be given vouchers to shop from local farmers and vendors and receive their goods on February 25th – just in time for Purim! The certificates can be used on any purchase at the market from produce, to baked goods, to ready to heat dinners. We unfortunately know that there are many in our communities who are hungry at this time and we are grateful to have the opportunity to support them, while supporting you in fulfilling the tradition of giving gifts to those in need on Purim!
Dufferin Grove Farmers’ Market has been in operation for over 18 years. As of April 2020 we moved to an entirely pre-order system offering curbside pickup and contactless delivery. We focus on organic and local vendors of produce, meat, dairy, canned goods, and bakery items, while offering specialty items from handmade brooms to Tibetan momos. Details on all the vendors and how to order can be found at https://shop.dufferingrovemarket.ca/.
