My membership builds the bonds of community through Holy Blossom’s interfaith programs
I chose Holy Blossom Temple because of the outstanding religious school program from Kindergarten to Confirmation that even included a comparative religions course, long with music instruction and Hebrew School. I was immediately impressed by how egalitarian the services were, and how every effort was made by the rabbis, staff and lay leaders to make me and my family feel welcome and at home, especially through the Chavura program and Young Congregants activities that encouraged us to get involved. We were also attracted to HBT because of its outstanding reputation in Human Rights, Social Justice and Interfaith work – from being the first congregation in Canada to welcome Martin Luther King Jr. to its ongoing leadership in Christian/Jewish and Muslim/Jewish Dialogue. After 40 years of membership in this amazing congregation, we are still engaged, and are delighted with the renewal of space and spirit!
Our lives blossomed here.
