SUMMARY:Film Screening of The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Film Screening of The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue\nWednesday\, December 3\, 7:00 pm \nJoin us for a screening of the TIFF Award-Winning Documentary\, The Road Between Us. \nAt first uninvited from TIFF\, The Road Between Us was ultimately shown and then won the People’s Choice Award for Best Documentary. The film brings us directly into the life of Noam Tibon\, a retired Israeli general\, who risked everything on October 7th to rescue his son\, daughter-in-law\, and granddaughters from their home on Kibbutz Nahal Oz. \nRegister here \nThe screening of The Road Between Us is generously sponsored by Harriette Laing. \nAs part of our ongoing efforts to advocate for our community and build understanding about the horrors of October 7th\, we encourage you to invite and bring your non-Jewish friends and family to this film screening. While it is vital for the extended Jewish community to be part of this evening’s program\, we can not arrest the spread of Jew-hatred and violence alone. We must continue to build meaningful partnerships and alliances at multiple levels. From grassroots connections between friends to interfaith partnerships with like-minded groups and beyond. \nPlease be advised. While the director and creators of this film have edited some of the footage to remove its most graphic elements\, “The Road Between Us” includes scenes which were livestreamed directly by Hamas and its allies during the attack on October 7th. Such moments include the murder of civilians\, and the bodies of victims are seen multiple times. It remains inappropriate for children. \n
