Yom Hashoah Commemorative Service
April 27, 2022, 7:00 pm
Join us for an important evening of remembrance, reflection, and song. Come bear witness to the first-hand account of a Holocaust Survivor’s experiences followed by our meaningful candle lighting ceremony. In song from the Shoah Songbook, we will shine a spotlight on the great composers silenced before their time produced by the Likht Ensemble featuring soprano, Jaclyn Grossman and pianist Nate Ben-Horin. This astonishing wealth of music was created from within concentration camps.
Esther Fairbloom is a child survivor of the Shoah. Born in a ghetto, she was hidden in a Catholic Church in Poland. Come bear witness to her story of survival.
We send a special invitation to our children, age ten and older, as they will be the last generation to be able to hear first-hand accounts from Holocaust survivors.
Coming to our Yom Hashoan service in person? Please be sure to fill out our Self-Assessment (pre-screening) Form before entering the building. Click here to fill out the form!
In-person attendees must be double vaccinated and Covid-19 protocols will be in place, including wearing masks, and physical distancing.
Masks and physical distancing are required. Please note, that everyone returning to Holy Blossom for the first time will be invited to light Shabbat candles as a special ritual to mark the occasion.

“The urge to play and create in Terezín was the urge to live. There is no better way for the memory of the Holocaust to live on than through the preservation and dissemination of the luminous music by its lost generation of artists.” – Composer Viktor Ullman
Our children will be the last generation to hear first-hand from Holocaust survivors. If you feel your teenager is ready, please join in this important service of commemoration.
