Rabbi Rinat is the seventh daughter of the Zephaniah family, growing up in a home where each one turned to a different Jewish stream (three Orthodox brothers, some of them ultra-Orthodox, a rabbi, a Conservative brother, and a Reform brother). She was educated in the youth movement of the Reform movement in Israel, managed this youth movement and wrote many programs of Jewish education in Israel and abroad – in the past she was part of the Tel Aviv-Los Angeles partnership and one of the founders of “Diller Fellows”, a member of Women of the Wall. She is the Rabbi of Ve’Ahavta Reform Community in Shoham, Israel.

Rabbi Rinat is married to Liron and mother to Ariel. She was born in Jerusalem and lives in Kibbutz Na’an. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in educational counselling, and an additional master’s degree in pluralistic Jewish education, Midrash and Aggada. Her master’s thesis was devoted to women’s reactions to infertility in the midrash.
