Tefillah 201: A Deeper Dive into the Sea of Prayer

You asked, and we listened – we are delighted to continue exploring our congregation’s beautiful interest in prayer!
Whether you participated in Tefillah 101 or not, whether you are new to our community or have been here forever, join your Rabbis and Cantors for this special six-part summer workshop as we delve into the rubrics of a Shabbat morning service.
Together, we’ll study the structure of our liturgy and look at the intention and the level of spirituality behind it.
In other words, we’ll ask the good questions of what we say, how we say it, and what we mean when we pray these sacred words.
Sessions will be from 10:00-10:30 am on Saturday mornings, in Room 209, following Torah study. We will then join for Shabbat morning worship at 10:30 am.

- August 2 – Pesukei D’Zimrah (Passages of Praise)
- August 9 – Shacharit (Morning Worship)
- August 16 – Seder Kriat HaTorah (Torah Service)
- August 23 – The Structure of A Blessing
- August 30 – Tallit, Kippah, Tefillin
