Simchat Torah 5785

Thursday, October 24, 7:00 pm

Simchat Torah celebrates when our ancestors received the greatest possible gift from God, the Torah! Together we will dedicate our new Torah Mantle, created in commemoration and defiance of October 7th. Let us finish welcoming in our new year with a smile, a song, 7 happy hakafot, and plenty of ruach! We will have a joyful ceremony in our sanctuary, with the assistance of our HABSTY teens, followed by dancing and live music in the atrium!

Come wave a flag, carry a Torah, make meaningful memories, and – in the words of the NOVA music festival “We will dance again!”
Am Yisrael Chai!

We will dance our Torah Scrolls around our Sanctuary, including one dressed in a newly dedicated Torah Mantel, designed and created by congregant and textile artist, Jodi Bager, in memory of Adi Vital-Kaploun and all who were taken from us on October 7.  The exquisite Torah mantel carries the biblical words of Kohelet: “A Time to Mourn and A Time to Dance.”
