    Dear Rabbi Splansky:

In these horrible times your sermons calm me…..make me weep……and remind me of our rich heritage and all the learnings we must draw from our ancestors.
    With deepest appreciation,

Thank you, everyone, for an inspiring and uplifting Shavuot service. We really appreciate all your efforts in creating such a fulfilling experience in these very challenging times. As seniors, Shelly and I are staying home; we have gone nowhere and seen no one since the middle of March. We are doing a lot of reading, walking in the neighbourhood, and enjoying the occasional “driveway” visit with our children and grandchildren. It becomes a little tedious, and we really miss seeing people, but we are managing. We order everything to be delivered, or our kids pick it up and bring it to us. And so, the Shavuot service and the kiddush and conversation afterward really gave us a lift and made us feel wonderful. It was amazing to be with everyone (albeit, virtually) and share memories of our years of membership at Holy Blossom Temple. Yael, your words were so inspiring and comforting. Yiskor and mourning are not the same when we are separated from each other. You made us feel as if we really were together somehow. Beny, your music and chanting were as beautiful as always. Rabbi Helfman and Rabbi Goodman, you enhanced the service each in your own way. And all the participants made the service so meaningful with your sincerity and commitment to what you were saying and doing. It was an incredible event thanks to all of you. Mazel Tov, todah rabah, and Yasher koach to everyone. Stay strong; stay well. This, too, shall pass, and we will all be together again in health and happiness.
