Sharing Our Stories
Join us at Kiddush, Saturday, February 29, 2020
Ever wondered why we have a pipe organ in the sanctuary that we don’t use? Or what that mysterious shoelace book in the cabinet at the north end of the Schwartz/Reisman Atrium tells you about Holy Blossom 150 years ago? Or how we got our name?
Join the Living Museum, Archives and the Library over Kiddush after services on Saturday, February 29, as we try to unravel this and other mysteries from congregant lives, our history and the story of our people.
Storytelling is fundamental to Jewish tradition, its lessons and its learning. The three departments are getting together for the first time in what we hope will become an annual program of storytelling, music and food.
Maybe it’s a Midrash. Maybe it’s history. Maybe it’s our history.
Find out on Saturday, February 29 for a taste of music and tale-telling!
