Shared Society in Jerusalem: How We Live Together
Presented by: The Jerusalem Foundation of Canada and the ASPER Foundation
May 1, 7:30 pm
The Women’s Advocacy Group and Israel Engagement Committee welcome you to join us for a conversation between Michal Shaul Vulej and Reham Abu Snineh, women leaders in the Jerusalem Business Development Centre (MATI). Our speakers will share their experiences in East and West Jerusalem empowering under-served communities in workforce development and business opportunities and in creating entrepreneurial opportunities for women, new immigrants, ultra-Orthodox and East Jerusalem residents. Their stories will speak to the important work women are doing to focus on shared values to both build relationships between different communities and harness the power of that diversity as an example for all in Israel.
We will be honored to have the Consul General from the State of Israel, Idit Shamir, join us for this beautiful and meaningful program.
Ms. Vulej, Deputy CEO of MATI and Ms. Snineh, East Jerusalem Manager of MATI are on a cross-Canadian tour to tell their story, and through them, the story of Jerusalem. MATI was established with the support of the Jerusalem Foundation and this tour is sponsored by the Asper Foundation.
