Debussy’s haunting fairy tale takes place in the depths of a forest—a metaphor for the unconscious, for dreams and for the unknown. From Hansel and Gretel, to Wind in the Willows, to Sondheim’s Into the Woods, the forest has become synonymous with primal instincts and danger, and no one has explored this with greater mastery than Claude Debussy.

Our event will be further enhanced by international visual artist Elizabeth Greisman, who will capture in real time, the beauty of this journey into the woods. Elizabeth brings her creativity and a deep love of collaborating with performing arts organizations, offering a visual interpretation that responds directly to what unfolds in person.
