Ordained in 2018 by the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, Rabbi Samuel Kaye is now the Associate Rabbi at The Temple of Atlanta, Georgia. He serves as the clergy liaison for a number of social justice groups working through the Rothschild Social Justice Institute: including fighting for justice at the Southern border, battling anti-domestic sex trafficking, working for education equality, and supporting LGBTQ+ equality. This coming year he is dedicated to reinterpreting the Sabbatical/Shmita year by organizing a drive to forgive more than one million dollars of Atlanta’s unpaid medical debt. Rabbi Kaye organizes The Well, a Young Professionals community for Atlanta’s Jewish 20’s and 30’s. He also offers spiritual counselling for mental health and addiction recovery programs.
Rabbi Kaye considers himself an accidental mystic and enjoys teaching on ancient topics that remain vital to today; including Talmud, Jewish Ethics and Covenantal Theology. He is an avid board gamer, an amateur oudist, and a recovering bartender. Rabbi Kaye and his Canadian wife, Taylor Baruchel, are enthusiastically waiting to travel and show their daughter, Selah, the world.
