Rabbi Levi Weiman-Kelman made aliyah in 1979.  He is the Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Kol HaNeshama, which he founded in 1985.  He is a Past President of Rabbis for Human Rights and continues to be on the forefront of the struggle for religious pluralism and justice in Israel.  Levi Kelman comes from a long line of rabbis, was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary, has serves as co-chair of the Inter Religious Coordinating Council of Israel, and as Chairperson of MaRaM (the Council of Progressive Rabbis).  Rabbi Weiman-Kelman teaches liturgy and spiritual counselling at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Jerusalem campus.  He is a leading figure in creating prayer and ritual for the Israeli Reform Movement and his reflections on life in Israel are often published in The Times of Israel and The Forward.
