The site of the Nova Festival in southern Israel—barren, blood-drenched ground, large photos of the murdered and hauled off to Hell all about—has become a place of mourning and memory. It will be so forever more. You cannot get their faces and this place out of your mind.

While there last month I couldn’t help but wonder what the late Charles Krauthammer would make of a world tilting badly on its side— and what now becomes of Israel and the Jews.
