Our Family Stories: A Living Museum & The Bagel King
Sunday, November 8, 11:00 am
Grandparents and Grandpals are invited to join their grandchildren in JK – Grade 5 for a special intergenerational morning of sharing family stories, traditions and history.
All participating grandparents are asked to bring a family heirloom or object that is special to your family. These items will be used for part of the program and will be displayed all together in our Living Museum during the morning. PJ Library author Andrew Larsen will be with us for the morning to share a special reading of The Bagel King and a special author meet-and-greet. Of course, there will be bagels for everyone, generously donated by Gryfe’s Bagels and Baked Goods!
Presented in partnership with PJ Library!
Andrew Larsen made his first book in kindergarten. He has published over 2 dozen books since then. They have been nominated for awards across North America. The Bagel King was inspired by Andrew’s father-in-law. Andrew’s favourite bagel is poppy seed with cream cheese and onion. His next book will be about latkes!
