Our Bikkurim: Shavuot Baby Blessing

There is no better day to celebrate the newest members of our community than Shavuot, the festival of Torah, revelation, and new beginnings.
On Shavuot morning, we invite families with babies and toddlers to join us for a special Baby Blessing. Parents and grandparents will be invited to the bimah before the open Ark for a blessing and the singing of Shehecheyanu.
It is a simple and joyful way of saying: we see you, we celebrate you, and your child belongs here, already and always. Because the story did not end at Sinai. It continues, quite literally, in your arms.
Join us in sacred worship in person or online.
A few gentle logistics to help make the morning easy:
- Wiggle space and snacks available throughout the service
- Music and storytelling for children during the Torah reading
- Ushers nearby to help with strollers, diaper bags, and the general choreography of parenting in a sanctuary
- The Rosen Jackson Lifecycle Room will be open for nursing, napping, or a quiet moment
- Highchairs will be available
Following the service, all are invited to a festive Kiddush lunch in the Atrium
