Orly Erez Likhovski: What Israel Needs from Us

Orly Erez Likhovski is the Executive Director of IRAC (Israel Religious Action Centre), the justice and legal arm of the Reform Movement in Israel. Orly has been on the front lines of the protest movement, championing the values of the Reform Movement at this challenging time in Israel’s history. Alongside MK Gilad Kariv, Orly has been the predominant Reform Jewish voice navigating the current policies, legislation, and challenges of the current government coalition. Under her leadership, IRAC has fought for religious freedoms and equality for Jews in the Jewish state, defending egalitarianism and disqualifying racist candidates from taking public office. A task that is growing more challenging.

Orly will join us for an informative evening, relating some of the untold stories and costs of the judicial legislation and new government policies. She will share her vision of what IRAC can be and the surprising success that has come out of these troubled times. She will also help us determine what Jews in the diaspora can do to support the Israel they love at this crucial time.
