The Luke Sklar Mental Health Initiative Presents:
Menopause and Mental Health – An Evening of Awareness, Understanding and Support
With Guest Speaker Jennifer Baldachin
Clinical Social Worker, MSW, RSW, MMHPC
Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, in the Mishkan
We often talk openly about the physical symptoms of menopause – hot flashes, night sweats, migraines, sleep disturbances, and others. Less discussed are the emotional and psychological challenges that can come with it – mood swings, heightened stress and anxiety, brain fog, and feelings of sadness or depression.
In this very practical session, Clinical Social Worker (and Holy Blossom member) Jennifer Baldachin will guide us briefly through the science and symptoms of menopause. Then, she’ll dive deeper into the emotional challenges and how to manage them. We’ll learn about hormone replacement therapy – what it can and can’t do – as well as other treatment modalities. She’ll outline cognitive behavioural therapy strategies for mood and mental health. She’ll also discuss the importance of nutrition, exercise, sleep, supporting your partner, and much more.
Please join us in the Mishkan and feel the warmth of community as we learn together, share together, and enjoy refreshments after the program.
For anyone who can’t make it in person, this event will also be livestreamed. The link to the livestream will be provided upon registration.
Please register here (whether attending in person or online) to join us.
