The Judaica and Art Shop, operated by Women of Holy Blossom, is excited to introduce Project Betzalel 2022, a marketplace event featuring the artistic creations of 5 outstanding artists from our Holy Blossom community. Visit with the artists, shop for unique Chanukah gifts, and enjoy refreshments.

The Artists:

Temma Gentles is an award-winning Judaica textile artist, whose commissioned pieces can be found in Jewish institutions throughout North America. Her Torah Stitch By Stitch tapestry was exhibited at the Textile Museum of Canada in 2019. Check out Temma’s website at https://temmagentles.com.

Wendy Mandelbaum, of Cherry Textiles, is a textile designer. Her creations, whether used to embellish a space or worn as clothing, are often inspired by nature. Her work was featured in the Miso Miami Symphony Orchestra and Einstein Foundation Tapestry Exhibit.

Loren Kaplan, of Loren Kaplan Ceramics, is an internationally renowned ceramics artist. Her work is sold through galleries in Canada, South Africa, and the US. Check out Loren’s website at https://www.lorenkaplan.com and her instagram @lorenkaplan.

Dena Perlmuter is a member of Woodlawn Pottery Studio. She has dabbled with metals, stone and wood, but prefers to work with clay, either sculpting or making pottery. Check out Dena’s instagram @denamics_ceramics and her Woodlawn profile at http://www.woodlawnpottery.com/dena-perlmutar.html.

Bob Hodes is a retired hobbyist, who is fascinated by the infinite possibilities of shaping wood.
