Join us for an evening of learning and dialogue at a special Teaching Seder, hosted by Holy Blossom Temple and the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Toronto (CJDT).
Pesach (also known as “Passover”) marks the liberation of the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt and their exodus to freedom in the Land of Israel. The Passover story is a cornerstone of Jewish identity, cementing the Jewish people’s ancient connection to the Land of Israel and shaping their collective memory for generations. It is a story that inspires reflection on themes of justice, perseverance, and hope.
This year’s Teaching Seder also marks 50 years of the CJDT and 60 years since the release of Nostra Aetate, the Vatican’s landmark declaration on Jewish-Christian dialogue and partnership.
Together, we will explore the rituals, symbols, and enduring lessons of the Seder, deepening our understanding of its significance in Jewish tradition and its universal messages of freedom and faith. Guided by Jewish and Christian faith leaders, this interactive experience welcomes all – come break matzah, share in tradition, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
