Holy Blossom Grandparents Project

Monthly, Mondays, October 23, 6:30 pm

Please join Rabbi McCarroll for this once-a-month class aimed at empowering our grandparents, particularly those with grandchildren who are disengaged for whatever reason (e.g. geographical distance), with tools to bring Jewish life to their families, utilizing tools and wisdom from the Jewish Grandparents Network resource.

It aims to connect grandparents with one another, to share their experiences, to learn and grow together, and to support each other through one of life’s greatest, most challenging, and most rewarding, life stages

The classes run from 6:30-8:00 pm on Monday nights once per month, at Holy Blossom. Please feel free to attend every session, or just those ones that are suitable schedule-wise and/or interest-wise.

Please note also that Ma’ariv/Mincha services take place beforehand, at 6:00 pm – all are welcome to join.

• November 20: Navigating Family Dynamics
• December 18: Shabbat/Chaggim and Calendar (with Chanukah as a case study)
• January 29: Health and Wellbeing (incorporating Tu Bishvat)
• February 26: Life Cycle Events (using B’Mitzvah as a case study)
• March 25: Play as a Developmental Tool (integrating Purim)
• April 15: Travel (Pesach and Israel theme)
• May 13: Cooking and Food (integrating Yom Ha’Atzmaut)
• June 24: Storytelling (integrating Shavuot)
