Holistic Skin Care Workshop: Nourishment from Within & Without
A Women of Holy Blossom Temple Program
Monday, May 4, 6:30 pm
This one-time, hands-on workshop invites you to explore a more intuitive and grounded approach to skin care — one that begins with what is already part of daily life. Drawing inspiration from traditional substances referenced in the Torah, as well as in Jewish history and cultural practices, it incorporates a selection of natural materials that have long been associated with care, ritual, and everyday well-being.
Participants will create simple and effective skin care products to take home, using every day, edible, and natural ingredients. The focus is not on complicated formulations, but on understanding how to work with materials that are accessible, familiar, and gentle on the body. These products include body powder, anointing balm (oil-based balm), body oil, bath salts, and a bath scrub.
This workshop is designed to reconnect skin care with simplicity, awareness, and intention — moving away from over-complication and toward a more holistic relationship with the body.
No prior experience is needed. All materials and tools will be provided.
Presenter’s Bio:

Angela has an academic and practical background and family tradition in Chinese medicine, as well as a long-standing interest in preventive health and everyday well-being.
Her work explores how daily habits – including food, movement, and simple natural materials – can support the body in practical and sustainable ways. She is especially interested in making holistic concepts more accessible by grounding them in daily life, and by translating ideas that are often seen as abstract or mystical into something people can understand and use.
She also draws inspiration from a range of traditional practices and cultural approaches to health, particularly in the use of herbs and natural materials.
