Family-Friendly Purim Fun: Mitzvot and Macaroni
Thursday, March 13, 6:30 pm
We invite all our families to gather in the Mishkan prior to our Megillah Reading and Spiel, as we make macaroni greggers together and engage in the mitzvah of “matanot la’evyonim”, assembling care packages for our Out of the Cold program.
A light pizza dinner will be provided, and then we will head down to Sanctuary to revel in our Purim story together!
ANOTHER PURIM REMINDER:
One of the great mitzvot of Purim is to give matanot la’evyonim (gifts to those in need). We are asking our congregation please bring a few select items (listed below) to donate to our Out of the Cold program. These items will allow our families to engage in the mitzvah, and to make care packages on the eve of Purim itself (March 13). There will be a dedicated space next to Janice Rotman Tzedakah Centre (found at the Ava Rd. Main Entrance). We appreciate the chesed, the loving kindness, of our community.
Items as follows, to please be donated in new condition:
- Toothbrushes (individually packaged)
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Socks
- Scarves
- Hats
