Dorot Presents: A Chanukah Storytelling Celebration

Join Holy Blossom member and storyteller extraordinaire, Anne Dublin, together with a few of her friends, as they tell tales on the theme of Chanukkah in creative and engaging ways. It’s sure to be a fun gathering as we laugh, learn, and smile together, and bring some warmth and lightness into the darkest time of the year.

$15/member, $18/non-member, with lunch catered by Holy Grounds Cafe – and who knows, there may even be a few Chanukkah treats!

Anne Dublin is an award-winning author of books for young people.

She was born in a displaced persons camp in Salzburg, Austria. Her family came to Canada when she was very young. She grew up in Toronto and was an elementary school teacher and librarian for over 25 years. She taught in Nairobi, Kingston, Winnipeg, and Toronto.

Anne has won or been nominated for numerous awards, including the Canadian Jewish Literary Award (Youth) for her last two historical novels.

Anne has been fascinated by Jewish storytelling for many years. She especially enjoys telling Jewish folktales from Eastern Europe. For the past year and a half, Anne has hosted a Jewish storytelling circle in her home once a month. The connections between people and stories are always a delight, for we are a people of stories.
