ABOUT OUR PRESENTER:

Nasreen Khatri, PhD, CPsych Clinical Psychologist, Neuroscientist and Researcher The Rotman Research Institute (University of Toronto) Scientific Officer, The Centre for Brain Health and Aging Innovation (CABHI) at Baycrest Health Sciences Centre

BIO: Dr. Nasreen Khatri is an award-winning registered clinical psychologist, gerontologist, neuroscientist and educator with over 20 years of professional experience. A graduate of McGill University, from 2001 – 2004 Dr. Khatri completed her clinical internship and CIHR-funded post-doctorate at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). From 2004 to 2012, she led the Mood and Related Disorders Clinic and founded the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) service at Baycrest.

In 2012, she joined The Rotman Research Institute (University of Toronto) where she tailors self-management treatments for depression and anxiety to older adults, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness and exercise. Dr. Khatri’s research has been funded continuously since 2006 and has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and book chapters.

Dr. Khatri has completed over 500 presentations, serves as a mental health advisor to the public and private sector and has been cited by CBC – The National, CTV, BNN, The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Toronto Star, The Wall Street Journal and dozens of other media outlets. She is an international expert for mental health resources.
