UJA Community Security Lunch & Learn with Andrew Kirsch

July 13, 12:00 pm

We live in a relatively safe Country. That isn’t because there aren’t threats and risks but because every day thousands of people in our law enforcement and intelligence community do their best to keep it that way. Holy Blossom Temple is blessed to have Andrew Kirsch serve as our Security Committee Chair. In this conversation, you will learn about what Canada’s domestic intelligence service does, why it’s important the public knows more about it, the challenges we face, and the threats to come.

Register here today!

Andrew Kirsch served as an Intelligence Officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) for just under a decade. He held roles as a policy analyst and a field investigator, ultimately leading special operations security team running covert warranted operations. After leaving CSIS he founded Kirsch Group, a boutique Risk Consultancy that serves government, corporate and individual clients. In 2020 he was appointed to the Ontario Expert Panel on Cyber Security, advising the government on strengthening cyber security practices in the broader public sector. His book – I Was Never Here: My True Canadian Spy Story of Coffees, Code Names, and Covert Operations in the Age of Terrorism is available wherever you buy your books.
