Event Details
One of the mitzvot of Purim is Michloach Manot – a basket of goodies exchanged amongst friends, families and neighbours. The book of Esther, instructs us to send gifts to each other at the time of Purim. These baskets contain at least 2 types of food, usually including hamantaschen, and other sweet treats, fruit, candy, etc.
It is traditional do deliver Mishloach Manot on the day of Purim, which is February 25th. Please plan to deliver your michloach manot between February 21-25 so that it can be enjoyed as part of Purim festivities.
If your family would like to participate in this mitzvah for Purim, join our Mystery Mordechai Michloach Manot! Families will ‘put their name in the hat’ by filling out the simple registration form. You will then receive the name of a Holy Blossom family to prepare and deliver a basket to, and your family will receive one!
Register here. Once you register, you will receive an email with guidelines of what should be included in your Michloach Manot basket. This is a great opportunity to be creative – everyone in the house can add something! In addition to the food items, pictures, jokes or other craft items are a great addition.
Families must register to participate by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11th. You will receive the name of your ‘Mystery Mordechai’ recipient by February 16th.

Zoombooks – a virtual book club for HBTweens in grades 6-8
Zoombooks is a NEW book club designed specifically for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. We will meet every other month (4 times/year) to examine and discuss books that have been carefully curated for you. If you enjoy reading, Zoombooks is for you!
Zoombook meetings will be facilitated by trained teen facilitators online. Students who sign up to participate in Zoombooks will be expected to read each book in preparation for the meeting, then join online for the live meeting to discuss. We will send you special treats to enjoy and enhance your experience during each live Zoombook meeting! Meetings will take place on the second Thursday of the month, in the evening.
