The decision to join Holy Blossom was one that my parents made together but was spear-headed by my mom who had grown up here.  She had deep roots at Holy Blossom and always wanted to come back.  We had been members at another reform Temple in Toronto where I had my Bat Mitzvah and was also confirmed.  At the time we joined I was in my mid-teens.  I have been a member here ever since.

When I started at Holy Blossom, I didn’t really know anyone here other than some of my parents’ friends.  I came to the High Holiday services with my family and that was about it.  After I got married, my husband and I realized that we wanted our kids to have a Jewish education and Jewish identity outside of our extended family Friday night Shabbats and the High Holidays.  They needed to have an opportunity to forge their own connections with Judaism and within the Jewish community and so we enrolled them in the great YEC program.  It was through their enrolment that I became involved at HBT.  I started out as a parent volunteer in their classes, and just by being there to drop them off and pick them up I got to know the rabbis, other parents, and the great staff in the Education department.  I was honored when I was asked to join the Board one year ago.  It is an incredibly vibrant place with so much to offer.

I am a family law lawyer at Devry Smith Frank.  My husband, Adam Feldmann, is an architect.  His parents are also members at Holy Blossom Temple.  We realized that both of our families attended HBT soon after we starting dating when my family found some seats right behind them during the High Holidays – it was a bit early to meet the parents but it has worked out well!  Adam and I have two kids both of whom attend the YEC.  We have celebrated many happy milestones at HBT and look forward to many more.  In my spare time, I like to hang with my family, get outside, play tennis, cook, and read.
