Dear HBT Friends,
The World Union for Progressive Judaism has organized a Southern Jewish Civil Rights Experience on the heels of our movement’s Biennial. The November 8-12 trip will give visit some of the same locations that Rabbi Eisendrath and so many other Holy Blossom Temple rabbis and congregants visited at this key moment in the history of our neighbor to the south.
Not only is this a chance to visit these sites, but it is also important to go at this moment in history, where the spotlight is being shown on the institutional prejudices that have maintained different standards of justice depending on skin colour. This is an issue in Toronto today, and it is an issue in America today.
Join this journey, make new friends, and insert yourself into our people’s historic narrative.
