A Special Announcement from Rabbi Satz
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the wonderful news that beginning July 1, 2019, Rabbi Michael Satz is going to lead his own congregation, Temple B’nai Or, in Morristown, New Jersey. Whenever rabbis leave us to serve the Jewish People in another community we remember them with gratitude for all they gave to strengthen the Holy Blossom community and with pride in knowing they will bring all that they’ve learned here and share it so others will benefit.
So many Holy Blossom individuals and families have been supported by Rabbi Satz in times of joy and sorrow. So many have been enriched by his excellence in teaching and in bringing Jewish ideas to light. Please reserve Shabbat Morning, June 1, 2019, as the day for our collective expressions of thanks. For now, please join us in wishing Rabbi Satz and his family, Rabbi Janice Elster, Eitan, and Ami, a heartfelt Mazel Tov as they prepare to write the next chapter of their lives. May they go from strength to strength!
Rabbi Yael Splansky
My dear Holy Blossom community,
I am happy to announce that starting July 1, 2019, I will be the rabbi of Temple B’nai Or in Morristown, NJ. I look forward to being the solo rabbi in this vibrant mid-size congregation. I hope to take all that I have learned in my five years here from you and my colleagues about creating a community of caring, learning, justice, and prayer to my new home. I am not leaving yet; I am still here for about five months. In my time left at Holy Blossom, I know that I will continue to be with you in all your stages of life to celebrate and mourn and to learn and teach.
Rabbi Michael Satz
