UJA Walk with Israel
Sunday, June 9, 9:00 am
Whether you Walk every year or have never Walked before, you need to be there. This year, we Walk for those we’ve lost. For those held hostage. For those who are in pain. And we Walk to help our Israeli family on the long road to recovery.
We look forward to Walking with you.
UJA Walk with Israel 2024 Updates!
A few things to know about the upcoming Walk with Israel…
- Register for the walk here!
- The Walk is on Sunday, June 9! If you register by May 30, the UJA will send you a walk kit directly; if you register after May 30, you will have to pick it up on June 9.
- The UJA has prepared a comprehensive FAQ about the walk.
- Holy Blossom clergy and lay leaders will gather underneath our banner in front of the Shoppers in Lawrence Plaza – starting at 9:00 am. Come say hi and walk with your community or find our banner at the JCC when we end the walk!
- Invite the people in your life who care about you and about Israel! Bring non-Jewish friends, family, and co-workers to the walk! A discount code is available for allies who stand with us – Rabbi Kaye will share it with you if you email him at [email protected].
- There are already 3,600 people signed up for the walk this year. That’s 1,200 more than last year… and we still have more than two weeks to go!
- The Canadian Jewish News, the UJA, and the Toronto Police held a frank and direct conversation about security at the walk. If you are curious or concerned about security, you can read about public steps being taken here.
- If you are bringing a sign, please have it be a positive message! We can show the press and those watching that the walk is about our Toronto Jewish community’s love and pride in Israel, not attacking or tearing anyone else down. Here are a few ideas…
-
- “I love Israel because…”
- “I’m a Zionist because…”
- “I’m walking with Israel because…”
- If your friends have questions about why this walk is so important, share this message from our committee!
Finally, the most important thing we want you to know about this year’s Walk with Israel is … that we need to see you there!
