Wendy Melvin, Director
I am a proud first generation Holy Blossom member for the past four years. Early into membership, I dove into a two year Melton Program. Later, during Covid, I created an HBTogether Walking Group which provided members an opportunity to connect with each other on a weekly basis. Most recently, I have been actively involved with the Centre for Arts and Culture under the leadership of Cantor David Rosen. These experiences have been inspirational, engaging and rewarding religiously, spiritually and socially.
My family are also connecting with the Temple in meaningful ways. My husband and I look forward to attending Kabbalat Shabbat services together. Recently, our daughter was married in a ceremony that was memorably officiated by Rabbi Splansky and Cantor David Rosen. The cantor has a very long connection to my late parents and standing under the chuppah together further reinforced the power of Jewish lifecycle connectivity. Naomi and Harrison, our newlyweds have become so fond and connected to the clergy which makes our Holy Blossom connection even more enriched.
I dedicate my time between family, career and competitive sprinting. My professional background is in workplace optimization practices where I have spent the last 32 years supporting entrepreneurial start ups to functional teams within large Fortune 50 organizations. I have a love of fine arts and design.
