What’s an “implicit Jewish object’’? Maybe it’s the casserole dish your mom used every Shabbat to host your family dinner. Maybe it’s the pile of matchbooks from every Bar Mitzvah you attended — or from your favourite (Jewish) dance hall. The world is full of objects rich in religious, cultural, and personal memories. Let’s open up a time capsule slideshow and share our favourite memories of yesteryear. We’ll begin with a light-hearted round of trivia to see if you can name a bunch of vintage objects (implicitly and explicitly Jewish) and then you’ll have a chance to share your favourite heirloom and family story, so bring it along to share on Zoom and let’s talk about what makes it “Jewish” to you.
