Serving our Neighbors: Staffing the Ve’ahavta Van as a Community
Thursdays, bi-weekly, starting May 18, 6:00 pm
“This is the fast I desire, to unlock fetters of wickedness, and untie the cords of the chain.
To let the oppressed go free; To break off every yoke. It is to share your bread with the hungry and to take the poor into your home. When you see the naked, to clothe him, And not to ignore your own kin.”
Isaiah 58:6-7
Holy Blossom Temple and Ve’ahavta are proud to partner and offer regular service opportunities at the Ve’ahavta Mobile Service centers. From May through October, you can sign up to spend a Thursday evening serving the homeless and hungry in our city by bringing them food, supplies, and more vital necessities. Together we can be hands-on in helping take care of those in our city who are the most vulnerable, and in the most need of care.
This program is offered bi-weekly on Thursday evenings and seating is extremely limited. Upon registration, you will get an email linking you to the signup form. Ve’ahavta will also be in touch with you to provide you with a waiver and to collect important information.
YOU MUST COMPLETE THE SIGN-UP FORM TO VOLUNTEER.
