Sharing the Light: Serving the Homeless on Chanukah

Ve’ahavtahas kindly reserved Monday the 19th – Thursday the 22nd for members of the Holy Blossom Community to serve on their mobile service vans. These vans drive through the downtown corridor, finding and serving people experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness. With fellow congregants, you can help spread the light of Chanukah, by providing your time and willing spirit, and helping those in need with a hot meal and a friendly face. This will be an ongoing program starting in the New Year.
In years past this service opportunity was so popular, it was nearly impossible to reserve seating. We are very happy to be able to provide this special opportunity for our members to help our neighbours in need face-to-face.
Signup is limited at this time; each van can only hold 4 volunteers. A secondary van, that can hold an additional 3 volunteers, is also available for overflow. When you register for this program, you will receive access to a form where you can sign up for a specific time. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE GOOGLE FORM in order for us to assign you a time.
